The Transport Minister Leo Varadkar signed new regulations which for the first time give motor insurance companies access to the National Driver Vehicle File (NDVF). This forms part of the Minister\u2019s latest efforts to reduce car insurance premiums, improve road safety and reward safe driving.<\/p>\n<p>The NDVF will allow insurance companies to look up a person\u2019s driving history and premiums will be weighted accordingly.
