Taxi fares on rise across Ireland – Paddy Compare News!

The National Transport Authority (NTA) chairman, Mr John Fitzgerald just announced that he expects there to be an increase in taxi fares across Ireland. Taxi fares are reviewed every two years by the Authority and changes are based on the industry and finding the balance between doing what is right for the public taxi users and taxi drivers alike. The proposed changes will see the standard minimum fare reduced to €3.60, however fares for longer distances will increase and result in an overall increase in fare of approximately 4%.
